The Uninvited (1944)
Director Lewis Allen , satrring Ray Milland,  Ruth Hussey.

The Uninvited was the first  great supernatural movie. Rated highly by Scorsese and Del Toro it was the first Hollywood film plot to portray  the  supernatural as a legitimate phenomenon , not a trick  or an elaborate joke.
A brother and sister buy a beautiful Cornish coastal mansion - but why are they getting it so cheaply? A story unfolds so chilling that British censors  removed the special effects!
The movie also has the distinction of giving us  the song "Stella by Starlight" from Victor Young's sumptuous score.

The screening will be introduced by media historian and author Chris Phipps and Mark Iveson, the author of Cursed Horror Stars. The duo will explore the corridors of the haunted Hollywood Palace over the decades!

We find that the option of ordering fish and chips at Lighthouse screenings is quite popular. If you'd like to order fish and chips, please arrive at the stated 'doors opening' time (above). Orders are delivered during the screening (we try and be discreet when alerting you in the dark, so choosing side aisle seats would help us greatly with this).
