The Disney film, loosely based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen. It was originally planned as part of one of Disney’s earliest feature films; development started soon after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in the late 1930s, but was delayed due to various circumstances. 50 years later . . .
Ariel is the youngest daughter of King Triton and is dissatisfied with life in the sea. She longs to be with the humans above the surface, and is often caught in arguments with her father over those “barbaric fish-eaters”. Ariel falls for the charming mortal prince, Eric, and summons up her courage to come to an ill-advised arrangement with the ocean’s cunning and terrible sea-witch, Ursula, in high hopes of winning his heart.
However, Ariel has only three days to succeed. Will she see her wish come true?

We find that the option of ordering fish and chips at Lighthouse screenings is quite popular. If you'd like to order fish and chips please arrive at the stated 'doors opening' time (above). Orders are delivered during the screening (we try and be discreet when alerting you in the dark, so choosing side aisle seats would help us greatly with this).
