Behind The Rent Strike 1974
Set in Liverpool in 1973, this documentary follows the tenants of a housing estate as they go about their everyday lives, leading up to going back on rent. We get a glimpse of the human struggle behind a national scandal.
Behind the rent strike was Nick Broomfield's graduating film from the National Film School.
We are honoured that Nick Broomfield will be attending the festival on the 5th September in conversation about his career and a Q & A. See here for more details.
