Whitley Bay Film Festival was founded in 2010 by Primate Productions and has developed over the years through the support and contributions of a number of artists in the area. The festival is deeply rooted in it's community of which we have enjoyed some wonderful collaborations over the years.

Our patron is screen writer Ian La Frenais.

The festival is an excellent place to promote your local business with brochure space and screen time available.

While our face to face activities are currently on hold due to Covid 19, we are looking forward to being back in some form or other shortly...
