50th Anniversary Special Screenings at

Seaton Delaval Hall.

A unique opportunity to see this cult classic for a special anniversary screening within the fantastic setting of Seaton Delaval Hall.

Director: Jim Sharman Writers:  Richard O’Brien and Jim Sharman

Starring: Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon,  Barry Bostwick

Fasten your garter belt and time warp again with one of cinema’s most enduring cult classics. Based on the musical by Richard O’Brien (who also plays Riff Raff and who co-wrote the screenplay with Jim Sharman), the film follows a newly engaged young couple, Brad and Janet, through the most unforgettable night of their lives. After their car gets a flat tyre during a torrential rainstorm, Brad and Janet walk to a creepy castle, hoping to phone for help. But things take a turn for the outrageous when they meet the master of the castle – transvestite inventor Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Not only is the doctor hosting an entourage of aliens, he has brought a spectacularly muscular man to life.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be screened in the magnificent Seaton Delaval Hall Saloon.

*There are 2 screenings. Please check the times of the event you'd like to attend.

Seaton Delaval Hall is one of the most important historic houses and designed landscapes in Britain. This Grade 1 listed building was designed by renowned 18th century playwright and architect Sir John Vanburgh, who also designed Blenheim Palace and Castle Howard. Seaton Delaval Hall was the theatrical backdrop for one of the most notorious of all Georgian families. The Delaval family were famous for their love of acting, hosting big parties and playing wild tricks.

Due to the location and historic nature of this fantastic venue we ask that before booking tickets for this event, please see the information below.

Seaton Delaval Hall is a Grade 1 Listed building and we are keen to ensure that we follow all guidance as provided by the National Trust.

The screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show will take place in the Saloon (south / gardens side of the main Hall) and is accessed via 17 steps. There will be refreshments available to buy at this event. Due to its rural location, patrons are advised to bring a torch - (the walk from and to the entrance/car park to the Saloon will be dark). Stewards will be on hand to help with directions. Please let us know in advance if you need wheelchair access or have limited mobility. It can get cold, so please wrap up well.

Very special thanks to Seaton Delaval Hall and The National Trust.
